What you will learn

This peer-to-peer study workshop is designed to help internationally accredited nurses develop effective study habits and strategies to improve NCLEX test outcomes. Participants will explore a variety of techniques to make studying more efficient and less stressful. Focusing on building effective habits in time management, organization, and memory strategies while offering the chance to practice and share techniques in a supportive group setting. This study workshop is designed for internationally trained nursing professionals who want to boost their study skills as they prepare for the NCLEX exam.

Materials & Requirements

Participants should bring a notebook and pen. All other learning materials will be provided or recommended by Yukon Learn Society.

Assessment & Participation

This is a non-graded workshop. Learners are encouraged to participate in group discussions and practice exercises.

 

 

 

Course Description

Nursing Peer-to-Peer Support and Study Techniques

This workshop is designed for newcomers to Canada who are preparing to pass the NCLEX exam, want to strengthen their study skills and build a peer-to-peer support network of other nursing professionals in the Yukon.

Format: In-person, small group setting
Class Size: Minimum 5 participants, maximum 12 participants

By the end of this session, learners will apply their knowledge of study techniques to revise for specific sections of the NCLEX exam.

Learning Objective:

By the end of this session, learners will develop study resources to support their learning.

By the end of this session, learners will apply their knowledge of study techniques to revise for specific sections of the NCLEX exam.

Session 8

Learning Objective:

By the end of this session, learners will conclude what is working in their current study plan and revise aspects which are not as helpful as they could be.
