GOLFER INFORMATION
TOURNAMENT STYLE:
Best Ball - Texas Scramble.
The countdown is on for the 32nd Annual PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy this Saturday, (May 30), and we wanted to send along some important information ahead of tournament day. Please share this information with your teammates so everyone is prepared and ready for a great day on the course supporting literacy programs across the Yukon.
Registration:
Registration opens at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning at Mountain View Golf Club. We encourage teams to arrive early to check in, grab breakfast, and take part in some of the activities happening before the tournament begins.
A complimentary breakfast will be available in the main tent courtesy of Ricky’s, featuring bacon and sausage breakfast sandwiches. During registration, golfers can also:
- Pick up their golfer gifts and event program
- Purchase regular mulligans
- Purchase 50/50 tickets
- Bid on exclusive auction items
- Pay outstanding invoices or cart auction winnings in person if needed
The tournament shotgun start is at 10:00 AM sharp.
Golf Carts:
Below you will find the link to our Online Cart Auction. These are 2-person power carts, and they can only be reserved through the auction process. Teams are welcome to secure more than one cart, and teams of four will require two carts if the entire team wishes to ride.

If you are unable to secure a cart through the online auction, we will also be auctioning off two additional carts live on Saturday morning before the tournament begins.
Golden Birdie (Premium Mulligan):
The cart auction is also where golfers can bid on the exclusive GOLDEN BIRDIE ticket. This Yukon Learn “Premium Mulligan” is limited to just one available for the entire tournament. The winner can turn their worst hole into a birdie or skip a hole altogether and register a birdie score for that hole. Please note that the GOLDEN BIRDIE cannot be used on specialty holes.
Golf Genius App:
New this year at Mountain View Golf Club is the introduction of the Golf Genius app integration. This system will become a larger part of the tournament in future years, and this year serves as a test run as we work through the process.
Download Golf Genius: www.golfgenius.com/pages/1216220
Golfers are encouraged to try using the app for score tracking, as it has the potential to improve pace of play and provide live score updates throughout the tournament. That said, while we test the system and work out any kinks, we strongly recommend keeping score the old fashioned way as a backup.
Important: Even if you register through the Golf Genius app, all golfers must still check in and pay at the registration table on Saturday morning.
Starting Hole Assignments:
Your starting hole assignments will be sent via email from the golf genius app. You can also get them from the registration table on the day.
