Study Techniques Workshop
This course is designed to help learners of all ages develop effective study habits and strategies to improve focus, comprehension, and retention. Participants will explore a variety of techniques to make studying more efficient and less stressful. Focusing on building effective habits in time management, organization, and memory strategies while offering the chance to practice and share techniques in a supportive group setting. Whether you are returning to learning, preparing for a test, or trying to balance school with work and life, this course will provide practical tools to help you succeed. It is especially valuable for internationally trained professionals, such as nurses working toward Canadian accreditation, who want to boost their study skills as they prepare for exams like the NCLEX.
Materials & Requirements
Participants should bring a notebook and pen. All other learning materials will be provided or recommended by Yukon Learn Society.
Assessment & Participation
This is a non-graded course. Learners are encouraged to participate in group discussions and practice exercises.
Certification
Participants will receive a Yukon Learn Society Certificate of Completion upon finishing the course.
Nursing Peer-to-Peer Support and Study Techniques
This course is designed for newcomers to Canada who are preparing to pass the NCLEX exam and want to strengthen their study techniques.
